I'm going on a shopping ban!

I have more than enough makeup to sustain me for years. As someone who doesn't wear makeup everyday, it is strangely odd that I keep buying more when I absolutely do not need it. I believe the term is called addict. I also do not need other materialistic items regardless of how much I fancy it. As of this moment, buying anything that is not a necessity is considered a luxury. Retail therapy is no exception.

I don't want to be a makeup collector. I want to be a makeup lover and enthusiast. Owning lots of it doesn't make me one, but enjoying and using it does. So, I'm going to start thoroughly utilizing what I have because I am not a collector! I'm an enthusiast!

I will still be blogging and perhaps less frequently (but of course, I'll still visit others). There probably won't be any hauls, except from what I've already purchased before the ban. Hopefully, this will also give me incentive to do more looks/FOTDs and maybe do tutorials :)

Shopping ban is in effect today until further notice and I have yet to determine when it ends.

I am also not buying any more make-up for a while. I have WAY too much that I hardly ever use. Why keep adding to that?

Something that's really helped me choosing tattoos is finding artwork that I really love and enjoy looking at every day. I love female graffiti art and all of my tattoos have had that theme for a while now. If your tattoo has long lasting appeal, then you're good.

That being said, go for a temporary one! It's just decoration -- temporary or permanent. People who say otherwise are in it for the attitude and not the beauty. :)

ohhh i totally agree with you on the difference between collector and being an enthusiast. I'm slowly cutting down too.. just can't do the cold turkey though lol. I'm pretty proud of my mediocre collection compared to some of the ladies out there, it's surprisingly small compared to some of bloggers out there LOL.

I am the same with you, i don't actually wear makeup everyday either! xP

Goodluck!! i think you can do it :)

lol Gee! yea i've been trying to keep myself from buying more makeup too. i keep having these glitches of temptation though! haha esp since i literally live a few minutes from riteaid, walgreens, and cvs. and then i see all these sales and i've been itching to start collecting pigments/sparkle dusts/etc but i've been telling myself NO! haha i'm gonna try to utilize a lot of the makeup i already have before i venture out and buy more =) we can do this!

I totally agree with you, having too much make up in the beauty case isn't good! I hope do the same, M.A.C. counters are my wonderland, a tentation i must avoid!
Have a great week end.
